In dieser Untersuchung werden mit der Logistik und dem wirtschaftlichen Wettbewerb zwei Themenfelder miteinander verknüpft, welche innerhalb der ökonomischen Theorie bislang isoliert voneinander betrachtet wurden und noch immer werden. Hauptzielsetzung der Arbeit ist es zu zeigen, dass Logistik und wirtschaftlicher Wettbewerb, welche prima facie verschiedene Ausschnitte der Ökonomik beleuchten und voneinander unabhängig zu sein scheinen, bei näherer Betrachtung dennoch konzeptionelle Parallelen und vielfältige Wirkungsinterdependenzen aufweisen. Diese werden aufgedeckt, systematisiert und bezüglich ihrer Ausgestaltungsform sowie ihrer Wirkungsrichtung konkretisiert.

This book focuses on the integration of quality and risk management in logistics. It examines theoretical and practical guidelines and addresses the main risks of non-compliance with the customer and legislative requirements that arise in a constantly changing external environment. Chapters discuss changes in quality and risk management in logistics, research methodologies, and the risks of non-conforming services. The book also includes a Logistics Services Satisfaction Survey. The analyses presented give us a reason to believe that the development of a systematic approach, including both satisfaction analysis and risk factor analysis, may be sufficient grounds for initiating improvements in customer service.

In diesem Buch wird ein Optimierungsverfahren für das Tourenplanungsproblem mit alternativen Lieferorten und -zeiten entwickelt und bewertet. Ausgangspunkt ist eine Untersuchung der logistischen Herausforderungen der B2C-Logistik. Den existierenden Zustellkonzepten wird ein serviceorientierter Ansatz zur Seite gestellt und in Form eines webbasierten Informationssystems umgesetzt. Das mit diesem Ansatz verbundene Tourenplanungsproblem wird mathematisch modelliert. Ein darauf aufbauendes Branch-and-Price-Lösungsverfahren wird vorgestellt. Darin werden Heuristiken, Lineare Programmierung und Constraint Programming zu einem Gesamtverfahren kombiniert. Das Verfahren wird anhand modifizierter Testinstanzen aus der Literatur in algorithmischer Hinsicht bewertet. Für die Untersuchung des Kostensenkungspotentials werden realitätsnahe künstliche Szenarien erzeugt. Es wird gezeigt, daß die Einführung von alternativen Lieferorten und -zeiten zu deutlichen Kostensenkungen und kleineren Flottengrößen führt.
